My Favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Travel Essentials
1-Longchamp Travel Bag
Special item: I’ve been on the search for the perfect carry on bag and this fits the bill to the tee! I was looking for something larger than your typical tote purse. My previous bag was pretty large and heavy before putting anything in it.
This is the ideal size 16x12x7 and I had a purse organizer that fits perfectly. It’s about the same width as my carry-on luggage and is much lighter than my previous bag. It has a sturdy top handle and/or an adjustable crossbody strap if you need to carry it separately. It also has a trolley sleeve, which slides over the luggage handle to keep your bag in place. It usually comes in a few colors, I chose grey to match my backpack. My favorite travel bag for women!
2-Longchamp Backpack
I bought this carry on backpack at last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it is a must-have when I travel. It folds up into approximantly 7×7 square, not including the handle. This carry on backpack comes in two colors, I chose storm (grey). It’s very sturdy and spacious it can easily carry a shoe box plus more. It’s lightweight and sippers at the top. Best travel backpack for women and highly recommended! Longchamps is such a reputable brand and can’t go wrong with this purchase!
3-Zella Wrap Jacket
I found a perfect wrap jacket for travel. This jacket with fur inside and wrap style is like wearing a blanket on the plane. There are two side pockets for your phone or snacks. You can use the 2 buttons at the top to create a funnel neck jacket or leave it open for a wide collar look. It comes in white, grey and black. I’m wearing grey (grey medium charcoal). To give you a point of reference it is thicker/heavier than a sweatshirt
4-Zella Jogger Jumpsuit
What a great very unexpected purchase this year from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It is a jogger jumpsuit made of a soft dry-fit like material (77% polyester, 23% spandex) and is super soft and comfortable.
I usually wear a medium in athletic shorts and sweats so I bought a medium. The armholes are a little large on me, but the bottoms fit comfortably. I probably could have fit a small but I wanted the extra space for comfort. It’s very flattering for those who have a stomach and rectangle-shaped body. The material is very flowing and drapes nicely over any extra bumps and bulges. I chose the jumpsuit in black and I think it’s a very chic look compared to the normal sweatshirt set.
5-Kut from the Kloth Jeans
Any time I travel I take a pair of basic jeans. These high-waisted skinny jeans in black normally run for $100, so I usually restock during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This year’s material is more stretchy and comfortable than last year. When you travel you look for comfort and these jeans are a great choice. It comes in black and dark or light denim wash. I usually choose the Donna, Reese, or Diana line, it fits the rectangle shape body perfectly. Even the high waist styles are comfortable with this brand.
6-Halogen Top
I’m pretty much the queen of tank tops, sleeveless tops, camisoles, spaghetti straps anything without sleeves. That’s my staple for workwear and playwear. These tank tops come in several colors and come just under $30. The raw edge chiffon trim makes it a little dressier than your normal cotton tank top. So, you can wear it for a day in the park. Easily transition to casual workwear by adding a cardigan or jacket. Throw on some heels and accessories and you’re ready for a date night.
7-Born Sandals
When traveling I usually bring along a pair of flip-flop (slippers), but this black slip on sandal is an excellent alternative. Born is a great line of shoes. A slide on flat sandal with a cushioned footbed and a leather strap is soft and comfortable for walking. It comes in several colors, I have it here in black.
8-Huggie Hoop Earrings
This is the first time that I’ve tried huggie hoop earrings. They’re tiny 1/2 inch in diameter hoops. Available in both silver and gold for under $30. My skin is sensitive so I need to be careful with the jewelry that I choose. I tried both gold and silver huggie hoop and haven’t reacted. I think it’s a good versatile basic to have and the crystals give it an elegant touch.
9-Adidas No-Show Socks
The Adidas no-show socks have been a yearly restock for me. They’re thin, so I don’t use them for exercising and for the most part do not slide down. I have them in black and white depending on the shoe I wear. They are well made and last beyond a year.
