5 stress management tips to keep you feeling healthy!
Feeling a little stressed or have some anxiety recently? 2020 has been a crazy year and your mental/emotional/physical health is just as (if not more) important than your day to day responsibilities.
TIPS:
- Accept the events that are out of your control. We waste a lot of time worrying too much about problems that we cannot solve, or things we cannot control.
- Practice relaxation techniques – walk, meditation (#1 app for meditation), Tai chi, or Yoga. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, go for a quick walk. You’ll benefit from alone time, physical activity, and a few minutes to gather your thoughts. Regular meditation, Tai chi, or Yoga can help the overall relaxation of your body and mind.
- Talk to a Friend or supportive people. When something’s really bothering you, it can help to share your feelings with someone. So vent to a coworker, friend, or family member.
- Set up hobby time like sewing, knitting, or making jewelry. Hobbies allow you to destress yourself. Enjoying a few hours of your hobby a week promotes better health and can also reduce the risk of depression.
- Play outdoors with your kids or pets. Discover the joy of play, laughter, and pleasure again. You’re never too old to play,
