Kaylin’s Skincare Routine
Being a fairly recent college graduate, Kaylin has started to put more time into her skincare routine. She loves to try different products so subscribing to Birchbox and Ipsy has given her that opportunity.
Skincare Routine AM:
Step 1: OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum
Kaylin has come up with a simple routine that has reduced her acne and smoothed out the texture of her skin. She starts her morning routine with a Vitamin C serum. Right now she is using OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum. This serum is great for any skin type (Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily). It contains vitamin C and collagen and is recommended for brightening and hydrating your skin.
Step 2: The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5
- Sephora: Here
The second step is adding a little more hydration to her skin. The Ordinary brand has a wide selection of budget-friendly items. Amino Acids + B5 is lightweight for all skin types (Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily) and gives the skin more hydration for a healthy-looking glow.
Step 3: Clean & Clear Essentials Dual Action Facial Moisturizer
Peace out:
Step three she mixes Clean & Clear Essential Dual Action Facial Moisturizer with Peace Out Acne Serum. This combination moisturizes her skin plus the added salicylic acid help to keep her acne under control and leaves her skin with a smooth texture.
Step4: Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
Garnier Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller
To complete Kaylin’s morning routine she glides on the Garnier Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller and uses Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen over her entire face. Sunscreen is so important for anti-aging and the earlier you start the longer your skin will continue to look young.
Skincare Routine PM:
Step 1: OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum
Step 2: The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5
Repeat the first and second steps using Vitamin C and Amino Acid + B5
Step 3: The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion 30ml
In general, it is good practice to use Retinoids in your PM routine. And if you are using Retinoids you should always protect your skin during the day with sunscreen. The Ordinary has a 2% and 5% Retinoid. If you have not used Retinoids, it might be safe to start with the lower 2% serum and graduate to the 5%.
Step 4: Air Repair – Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
To complete Kaylin’s nighttime routine she uses a heavier moisturizer by Air Repair – Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer + The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 + Peace Out Acne Serum. If you feel like topping it off with the Garnier Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller and you’re good to go for the night!
